Jewell Dining Receives Liberty, MO “Best of 2016” Award

    Jewell Dining hall, located on the campus of William Jewell College, was awarded the Liberty, Missouri “Best of 2016” in the Food & Restaurant category. This is the second year in a row that Jewell Dining has received this award. Jewell Dining is an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall that focuses on fresh ingredients and fun. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community can stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner on weekdays or brunch and dinner on weekends. The dining hall boasts a fresh salad and deli bar, Chef’s Table featuring comfort food, and a Fresh Fusion station that features healthy options. The Culinary Expo station brings the action of the kitchen to the students where meals like Chicken Fajitas or Shrimp Pad Thai are made-to-order and customized. The dining hall also features a Trattoria station with a buffet of homemade pizza, pasta and other Italian specialties. Kiki Strecker, Director of Dining Services, said, “It’s an honor to receive this award from the community. Culinary expertise from Jim Tinkham, our Executive Chef, and support from the dedicated Fresh Ideas team is what makes Jewell Dining great.”
